Whole Bean

The freshest and most preferred method for those who have a grinder at home.

Coarse (French Press)

This grind size is what you need to make a mean french press or a smooth well extracted cold brew.

Medium/Coarse (Chemex)

If you are brewing that Mayorga magic on a Chemex this is the grind size for you. This grind is also great for units with metal filters.

Medium (Drip)

If you are brewing on any home brewer or a flat bottom pourover system (Kalita Wave) this is the grind size that was made for you.


This is our favorite size grind for anyone using a cone pourover system with a paper filter (Hario v60, Melitta, Clever, Beehouse). Our baristas call this one, "the sweet spot."


If you are using a vacuum pot, siphon or refillable k-cup pod you want this grind size for optimal brewing.


This grind is suitable for home and commercial espresso machines and stove top espresso, like a moka pot.

This bright, well-balanced exotic blend has notes of rich, earthy milk chocolate and sweet lingering berry undertones with a vibrant finish.

Product Description


Mocha Java is the world's oldest recorded coffee blend. Traditionally, this blend combined coffees from MOCHA (or modern-day Yemen) and JAVA. While this was originally function of combining coffees from two colonized nations along a trade route, it created a complimentary balance between an EARTHY coffee and one that is SHARP and FRUITY.

In order to replicate this old-world blend while enhancing the profile, we use our SUMATRA Mandheling and our ETHIOPIA Yirgacheffe for our Mocha Java blend. Once brewed, you will note the BRIGHT, RICH and EARTHY notes balanced by sharp FRUITINESS and CHOCOLATE in the background with a VIBRANT finish. This truly special coffee has been one of Mayorga Coffee’s signature roasts since our founding in 1997. So sit back, relax, and enjoy our interpretation of one of coffee’s truly vintage blends.
